Anti-Slip Plywood Panels

Our non-slip plywood boards are designed for use in general walkway applications. They are most commonly specified as a replacement for ‘end of life’ panels on suburban railway station platforms or pedestrian bridges.

Hard wearing and effective in all weathers, anti-slip plywood sheets are also highly cost effective. They are ideal for improving safety because they greatly reduce the slip potential in public access and work environments.

Also commonly referred to as buffalo boards or acme panels, these resin coated plywood flooring panels are long lasting and can be fixed to a wide range of sub-structures. Our non slip plywood boards also provide high levels of slip resistance in both dry and wet weather and are suited to both interior and exterior use. They can be relied on to withstand the rigours of industrial, infrastructure and high traffic environments.

For new build, renewals and full resurfacing projects, we highly recommend the use of our GRP Everdeck or overlay panel systems. These offer the ultimate durable, long lasting solution and are ideal when boards are not required to match existing types, breaking the cycle of constant repair and replacement.

Specification

Manufactured from a choice of birch ply or marine grade plyboards from FSC and PEFC certified sources. Our anti slip boards are coated in a combination of refined aluminium oxide and resin components.

Description

Resin coated plywood sheets improve safety

The base of our anti slip plywood boards is made from premium quality birch or marine ply. These are sourced exclusively from FSC and PEFC certified suppliers. Each non-slip plywood board is coated in a combination of refined aluminium oxide and resin components.

Designed for pedestrian bridge surfaces and platform structures, our anti slip plywood boards provide a cost-effective solution to reduce slip hazards in a variety of settings. They can be easily fitted to many different types of structure, including concrete, steel and wood.

Installing your non-slip plywood boards

Coated plywood boards can be installed through a system of pre-located and sealed fixing points. Boards can be further sealed in-situ using beads of single part adhesive/sealant. This prevents the ingress of moisture between adjacent boards. Each anti slip plywood panel is cut and finished to specified sizes prior to delivery for ease of installation.

The resin plywood range features a choice of finished thickness and overall dimensions to suit a variety of load or non-load bearing applications.

We also offer options to embed tactile paving surface strips into boards. This further improves the safety for partially sighted persons and adds Equality Act compliance. This standard is now prerequisite in all UK built environments and provides warnings such as:

- a change in level on a bridge to a landing or stairs
- a railway platform edge
