Manufactured and fitted by Evergrip
West Hall suspension bridge spans the river Wharfe near Addingham, Yorkshire. Here, the requirement from the controlling County Council was to fabricate and supply a new bridge deck comprising of fibreglass solid top grating panels with internal fixings. The old surface of wooden boards had reached end of life and were rotting. Their replacement was therefore vital.
The GRP materials used provided an ideal replacement; strong, yet light in weight and virtually maintenance free. Prepared first in our factory, the panel system was shipped to the site for installation. The old panels were stripped back, a waterproof membrane was fixed to the timbers and finally the new deck was laid.
