SummaryThe logistics division of a large department store retailer asked if we could cover six dock levellers with Anti-slip sheeting at one of their busy distribution centres. The existing surface of the levellers was steel chequer plate that had been previously coated with a resin product. This resin had become very worn and was flaking off in large areas due to the heavy loads being rolled over them on a daily basis.
The customer wanted a more permanent solution than the resins and paints available so we were happy to recommend our 4mm thick anti-slip sheet bonded directly over the top of the existing surface with chamfered edges.
At their request, we spread the installation over two consecutive days in order that three of the levellers were kept operational at all times.
The end result was that the newly refurbished surfaces offered a high degree of slip resistance and with the extra tough, refined aluminium oxide coating, were durable enough to take the impact of the trolleys and their associated heavy loads.

Collections of orders from our workshops are possible, by prior arrangement only please and visitors are reminded to observe the standard 2m distancing rules, for the safety of all.
