SummaryThe client, a data centre operator was having issues with a steel chequer plate gantry. Valuable electronics needed to be wheeled across this gantry on trolleys and due to the existing uneven surface, it was causing unwanted vibration to sensitive equipment.
After taking a large sample to site for them test their trolleys on, it was decided that the 4mm thick fibreglass backed Anti-slip sheets did a great job of dampening this vibration whilst at the same time, proving a safe anti-slip surface for personnel in all weather conditions.
We installed the sheeting to cover the gantry using a combination of adhesive/sealant and self tapping screws. Being a relatively large area, the job took three days to fit, with fabrication of the sheets taking place at our factory.
