Installation of a series of large Goal Post Height Restrictors along with additional barriers providing further asset protection and segregated / demarcated pedestrian walkways for site employees.
High impact flexible polymer
8 metres in height
High visibility and durability
This project was undertaken at a new build, ‘state of the art’ distribution facility in West Yorkshire, commissioned by a global PLC producer of bananas and other fruits.
We were approached by our client, an industry leading industrial and commercial air conditioning/refrigeration specialist, to provide a set of over 50 height restrictors, to protect the entrance ways to fruit ripening rooms against accidental impact damage from fork lift trucks.
The majority of these barriers were of an exceptional specification, each having a total height approaching 8 metres. In addition to these main units, a series of smaller restrictors and traffic barriers were utilised in the premises, designed to protect various doors, offices, pedestrian routes, conveyors and structural columns.
The high visibility and durability of the Boplan Flex Impact barrier product was an ideal choice for the requirement, providing robust protection and clear demarcation, coupled with a practically maintenance free installation. The visual effect of the completed installation was quite simply stunning and was certainly complementary to the overall appearance of what is a very fine facility indeed.
With the new owner keen to take possession of the building to commence operations and despite the scale of the project, the works were carried out quickly, efficiently and within a tight deadline. As always, safety considerations were paramount, particularly in view of the scale/size of the barriers.
