GRP fixed access ladder systems are designed for use in all manner of industrial and commercial settings. They comply to all the relevant standards and provide a safe, virtually maintenance-free, cost-effective alternative to metal or wooden structures.
GRP ladders are perfectly suited to interior, exterior use and in corrosive environments found in the water, waste & chemical industries. Unlike other materials such as wood, GRP does not corrode when exposed to industrial chemicals and acidic air.
It is therefore no surprise that structures such as our GRP fixed access ladders can offer a long service life with minimal maintenance.
Composite fixed access ladders are available in the following configurations:
1. Internal Access Ladders e.g. for underground inspection chambers (manholes)
Designed to BS 4211:2005 including:
- Straight ladder with rungs at 250 mm c/c spacing
- Wall brackets designed for the manhole curvature
2. External Access Ladders e.g. for above ground elevated structures
Designed to BS EN ISO 14122-4:2004 including a combination of any of the following elements:
- Straight ladder
- Safety cage
- Safety gate
- Landing platform
- Wall/floor fixings/supports
Structural components for your GRP access ladders are available in steel grey or high visibility safety yellow. They provide all the advantages of light weight, high strength and durability, coupled with corrosion resistance, electrical non-conductance with a long service life.
Fixed access ladders may be fully or partially assembled prior to delivery for immediate installation. The relative light weight of components makes the product ideal for transportation, handling and installation.
